There are several sources for column labels - Caption in Entity > Database Field, Caption in Screen Section > Field > Properties and GridColumnCaption in Screen Section > Field > Properties.
For column configuration and export to Excel, the GridColumnCaption should be taken if it exists, since these settings are used for grid view and they may differ from the detail view captions.
