Dropdown list doesn't open in a narrow column

Continuing the discussion from Padding of a combo box when editing:

If the column is only wide enough to show the whole text, but the dropdown arrow doesn’t fit, the list isn’t opened. You have to double click to see the list.

@zcapkova cannot reproduce this in demo. I need more information.

This problem only exists in firefox. Could not be reproduced in chrome and edge.
