How to download Azure Data Studio

Azure Studio is a software to manage DBMS (Database management system). It allows you to manage databases and look into them. We support MSSQL and PostgreSQL. As Origam works through databases it’s an essential software.

Guide

  1. To download the database, follow the MSSQL download guide. After you download the database you need to connect Azure to it.

  2. Open Azure Data Studio and choose a new connection under the connections in the servers options.

  3. Fill the connection details
    3.1 Set server to localhost
    3.2 Set authentication type on SQL Login
    3.3 Username and password are those you set up when downloading the MSSQL database.
    3.4 Azure should connect to your database now

  4. You should see the database in the servers part of the screen. The name will be localhost

Asi myslis DBMS? Ale Data Studio je pouze nastroj na ovladani DBMS.

Plus je univerzalni na ruzne DBMS, z nichz dva podporujeme (PostgreSQL a MSSQL).

A konkretne Data Studio take neni jedinym nastrojem, takze pro profi uzivatele neni essential, pokud umi pouzivat neco jineho. Pro novacky je ale dulezity a treba konkretne tenhle.

A pokud pouzivame nejakou novou zkratku (dbms), klidne se neboj ji udelat jako link, idealne na wikipedii (ovsem anglickou).
