frontend-html and chat-html use classnames for conditional CSS classes. architect-html has it as a dependency too, but uses it in only a handful of places. Most components still build conditional classes with template literals and ternaries.
Why unify:
- Consistency - one pattern across all our React apps, so moving between them costs nothing and code reviews stop debating style.
- Readability - { active: isActive } states the intent directly, while nested ternaries in template strings get hard to read as conditions pile up.
- Fewer small bugs - no stray spaces, no “undefined” or “false” class names leaking into the DOM.
- Zero cost - the library is already installed, so there is no new dependency.
It would be nice to adopt this as the convention and gradually migrate the existing occurrences.
