We are planning to replace the Architect desktop application with a new web/HTML version, which in the initial phase will include only the essentials needed for day-to-day work.
Currently, there are a number of ACTIONS created in the desktop Architect, and we need to select the most important ones to launch the HTML Architect with. So I’m asking all modelers to let us know which Actions in Architect you use the most and without which you cannot imagine your work.
Here is a tentative list, and I ask other modelers to add anything else that is essential for you or or you could also mention if anything on the list seems unimportant to you.
After discussion with Zuzka we came to some ideas to screen section that be great to handle:
In Desktop Architect spacing after creating from actions is starting to be completely broken, its need to fix it, it must have spacing like in second image
Field for Name screen section must exist but it must be auto filed and user must have possibility to change it, as well add alert checking if screen section with this name already exist
Unify the behavior - when you create a screen section and a data structure with the name of the entity doesn’t exist and fill the Caption, it isn’t used anywhere.
When you create a screen section and a data structure with the name of the entity already exists, you fill the data structure name and fill the Caption, but the caption isn’t used at all, the name of the data structure is used for the screen section and no new data structure is created.
I would say that there should be an option to either use an existing data structure (if there is one matching the entity name) or create a new one. Further the correct name / caption should be used as discribed in the wizard (or the wizard texts should reflect what really happens).
